Marbridge Consulting, a foreign market research and strategy consulting firm focused on the Chinese telecom, media, and IT sectors, is seeking an Associate Analyst for market research and project implementation in our Beijing office. The position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a growing, international, high-tech service firm, and to learn the skills necessary to serve international hedge funds, venture capital firms, and high-tech enterprises.

Responsibilities:

1. Translate (Mandarin to English) and edit industry news for daily industry news brief product.
2. Research and write reports on select topics in the Chinese telecommunications and IT industries.
3. Provide analysis on telecommunications/IT industry news.
4. Review local staff’s research and translations (both English-Mandarin and Mandarin-English) for content and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

1. Native English speaker with strong written and spoken Mandarin
2. Aptitude for or experience in market research, communications, and written composition (please note that this is a NON-TECHNICAL position.)
3. Bachelor of Arts degree
4. Ability to think and work independently
5. Strong work ethic
6. Affinity for work in a start-up environment
7. Background or experience in high-tech industry (not required, but highly preferred)
8. Already living in China

Position is full time, starting immediately, and based in our Beijing office.
