AustCham Beijing Communications Internship
The China-Australia Chamber of Commerce’s (Austcham Beijing) overriding goal is to advance Australian Business in China and functions to provide members with the information, resources and contacts they need to succeed in China.
AustCham Beijing is currently offering a 12 week full-time internship at our office in Beijing starting August 2015. This internship position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the Australia-China business sector.
A modest monthly stipend is available. In-person, phone or Skype interviews will be held in July.
Position Outline
Key Responsibilities
- Producing AustCham’s weekly Electronic Direct Mailing and monthly newsletter
- Updating AustCham Social Media sites, eg. LinkedIn, WeChat, Facebook, Twitter etc.
- Designing AustCham marketing collaterals, e.g, event posters, flyers, web banners etc.
- Updating the Austcham Beijing Website’s events page, news and promotion sections
- Preparing, editing and updating all relevant communications materials
- Assist team members with drafting, editing and proofreading media releases and proposals
- Developing guides for future interns
Qualifications Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Chinese language skills not essential but highly regarded
- Communications and marketing background preferred
- Prior experience using Photoshop, Publisher, Mailchimp and InDesign
- WordPress skills and experience would be beneficial
- Strong and flexible work ethic
- Computer literacy and video and audio editing skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Team Player
