Our mission at KAWO is to help foreign brands be better at social media in China. We’ve created a platform that streamlines publishing to Chinese social networks.  We started 2 years ago and already have clients like the NFL, Macy’s and Novak Djokovic using KAWO to connect with China.

KAWO’s RESTful back end is built on JAVA using the Play! Framework and utilizing multiple, geographically distributed MongoDB databases for our data.

Current Challenges

• Deep integration with WeChat
• Processing and storage of big data pulled from social networks (Weibo, Wechat)
• Scale pulling to handle 1000’s of social feeds (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
