Job Description
Bookings coordinator at Beijing Hikers
Make good use of your top-notch organisation skills to coordinate our bookings and events, working in a friendly team to help our hikers enjoy their holidays. You’ll get plenty of practice speaking Chinese with some of our staff, and you’ll also have the opportunity to see more of Beijing by helping out on the hikes.
Key tasks
• Run the booking system for our hikes and trips, using email to answer questions and send out updates.
• Keep colleagues up to date on what’s happening on the hikes and trips.
• Produce quotes and customised itineraries for special events.
• Help us find new customers by getting involved in our marketing.
Position Requirements
You are
• Extremely well-organised.
• A power user of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel (or willing to become a power user).
• Extremely fluent in spoken and written English, with professional level Chinese language skills.
• Interested in hiking and travel.
Hours and location
This is a full time job. The hours are 9am-6pm Monday to Friday, with an hour for your lunch break. Our office is located near the 798 Art District, a 10-15 minute walk from the Jiangtai Metro Station on Line 14.
Training
You’ll start training in August, working alongside one of us as you learn how everything works. You’ll be ready to start full time from the beginning of September.
You’ll join the hikes every now and again to get firsthand experience of what we’re all about.
Salary range: 6,000 – 9,000 RMB/Month (Before Tax)
