Job Description
This role is key to improving the market position and achieving business growth. This role will build key agent relationships, define long-term strategic account goals, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain knowledge of current market conditions. The successful candidate will also work closely with Marketing, Operations, Compliance and Product teams to ensure that China’s network and agent partners deliver on the company’s strategy and business goals.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Look for new business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
• Account management of key accounts in the China business, building strong and enduring relationships with agent partners that will drive business growth.
• Discover opportunities to grow the business through existing agents/partners by expanding the number of products and channels available.
• Roll out and implement marketing strategies/campaigns
To be successful in the role, you will need to have the following qualifications/qualities:
• Tertiary qualifications with at least 10 years’ experience in business development, sales, account management and marketing.
• Experience preferably within the financial services industry for example, insurance companies or companies offering products/solutions to banks at the branch levels.
• Excellent negotiation and sales skills with a strong track record of being able to grow business
• Strong partnership building skills with both internal and external partners.
• Intermediate fluency in both spoken and written English.
