Job Description
Campaign Manager-China
The Climate Group
Beijing, Beijing, China
The Climate Group is partnering with CDP to encourage the world’s most influential businesses to join RE100 and commit to going 100% renewable. IKEA, Mars, BT, H&M and Nestle and 10 other leading global companies have formed the first group of companies to join the campaign. Our aim is for at least 100 companies to make a global 100% renewable commitment with a clear timeframe for reaching their goal.
By demonstrating the global business benefits of going ‘100% renewable’ RE100 will help to create a tipping point for renewable power.
RE 100 Launch in China
In China, leading global companies such as Lenovo and Huawei, have taken first steps by installing solar installations at their Chinese factories, and Apple is planning for a factory that makes its iPhone screens on 100% renewable energy. Yet due to various technical, financial and policy barriers, most companies in China have yet to take advantage of investing in renewable energy and the opportunities such investment brings.
RE100 will overcome these barriers by delivering an awareness raising and capacity building program that enables companies in China to adopt and scale up their renewable energy use.
We are now recruiting for a Campaign Manager to help with the implementation and roll-out of RE 100 in China for 2015.
