Job Description
Acorn International Education is looking for enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for working with children, experiential education and youth development. Working at Acorn’s summer camp is a tremendous opportunity to be part of a special community and make a difference in the lives of children.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safely supervise campers throughout the day
- Help lead and organize activities
- Oversee camper trips off-campus
- Assist with meal supervision
- Awareness of social, emotional, physical and medical needs of the campers
- Support fellow Acorn team members
- Embrace and promotes the core values of Acorn Camps
Skills/Experience/Requirements:
- Passion for children, and education
- Near-native or native English proficiency
- Summer camp experience (as a camper or a counselor)
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and caring
- Adaptable, self-starter, and willingness to fill in where needed
- Can handle multiple projects
- Comfortable leading, or assisting in, group activities in one or more of the following areas: sports, water, creative, adventure
