Philanthropy in Motion (PIM) provides young people with the funds, training, and networks to give early, give smarter. Founded by a team of graduates from Yale, Harvard, Cornell, and Peking University in 2013, PIM designs programs that allow young people to evaluate and allocate crowd-funded donations to the most impactful social organizations in China.

Philanthropy in Motion (PIM) is Asia’s first and only young people’s foundation that offers participants a chance to donate real funds to real organizations, learning about effective giving and impact along the way. Our program includes:

• An innovative online philanthropy course with input from Stanford, Yale, and the University of Hong Kong

• Due diligence training to learn how to effectively evaluate social enterprises in China

• An annual conference that congregates industry leaders from tech, business, philanthropy, and the public sector to discuss smart philanthropy

Our highlight this summer is Model Foundation 2016, a 2-month program held in partnership with Yale Center Beijing. We brought together young people from all over the world to conduct due diligence on 9 Chinese social organizations and decide how best to distribute a PIM fund of $20,000.

Design and Communications Intern

PIM is currently seeking a Design and Communications Intern to join our team in Beijing. This team member will be responsible for creating and publicizing materials marketing our education programs and community events, including:

• Managing website content and social media platforms

• Creating brochures, flyers, videos, and other program materials to engage our community

• Helping to develop our brand image by designing marketing materials

Requirements:

• Creative design experience and/or familiarity with Adobe Suite (Photoshop and/or Illustrator)

• Bilingual proficiency (English and Chinese)

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Working location: a preference for Beijing
