Selection Criteria
1. High level of competence and experience in website publishing, writing and editing
2. Ability to quickly master the use of proprietary publishing tools
3. Background in journalism or public relations is a plus
4. High-level of accuracy and attention to detail
5. Proactive attitude towards implementing new technologies
6. Native English speaker is essential; Chinese language ability is plus, but is not required
7. Five or more years’ experience working in marketing/website management, including website redesigns.
8. Proven capacity to work effectively both independently and cooperatively
9. Strong project management skills
10. Must show initiative, enthusiasm, flexibility, resourcefulness and capacity to think creatively
11. Familiarity with design software packages, specifically: Photoshop, WordPress and Acrobat would be highly regarded
12. Interest in Chinese and international affairs and business issues as they relate to American business

Primary Duties
1. Oversee development and posting of all AmCham-China website content, including event notices, news reports, sponsorship information, members-only content, photos, multi-media assets and other content.
2. Manage a third-party website development team (project assignments, project management and budgets).
3. Conduct interviews for AmCham China’s podcast series (audio and video)
4. Manage the chamber’s social media outreach
5. Edit and proofread articles for website, e-mail newsletters and magazine publication
6. Oversee the layout, visual appearance, usability and accessibility across the website, ensuring that AmCham China’s brand continuity is maintained.
7. Optimize AmCham China’s website for better online presence of the chamber.
8. Help design and create micro-site for exclusive content for the chamber’s monthly magazine, Business Now.
9. Develop AmCham China’s online marketing strategies including online advertising and social media.
10. Liaise with other chamber departments, including regional chapters, to communicate chamber information and news to members.
11. Act as project manager for site upgrades and redesigns
12. Compile and monitor website traffic statistics
13. Edit photos and multi-media assets for use on site
14. Assist with management and development of content for Business Now magazine
15. Assist with maintaining quality standards for writing, editorial, design and publishing services
