The Beijing center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is seeking to hire an Editorial and Web Coordinator. This position will report directly to the Communications Director at the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy.

Job Description
The successful candidate will liaise between the center’s staff, scholars, and the editorial team in Washington, DC, on short- and long-form content; facilitate center scholars’ research and writing projects; and work with scholars in the center’s network. The Editorial and Web Coordinator will also be responsible for the center’s English-language website, producing and distributing center mailings to digital subscribers, and drafting and proofreading other materials.
Native or near-native command of English is required. Workplace proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and prior familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style are both preferred. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of website content management systems, basic HTML coding, and an interest in and awareness of China’s foreign policymaking environment and key global issues. The successful candidate should also be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail, who is highly organized and capable of multitasking and managing multiple deadlines. The ability to work well with others in a cross-cultural and professional office environment is essential. Experience working with university professors on research publications would be beneficial.
