Job Description
The Carnegie–Tsinghua Center for Global Policy, the Beijing center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, is seeking to hire an Editorial and Web Coordinator. Primary duties would include: managing the center’s publication processes, including liaising with center staff and scholars; working with the editorial team in Washington, DC, to edit short-form content produced by the center’s scholars; updating and maintaining the English-language website; managing the event summary process for all center public events; and drafting other material in support of the director and communications manager.
This position requires native English language speaking and writing skills, fluency in Mandarin Chinese preferred; a bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, international affairs, or journalism; editing or journalistic experience; knowledge of website content management systems; and an interest in and awareness of China’s foreign policy making environment and key global issues. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail, who is extremely well-organized and capable of multitasking and managing multiple deadlines. The ability to work well with others in a cross-cultural and professional office environment is essential.
