IIG is looking for a Residential Advisor to live with and supervise a group of Chinese students studying at a local high school. If you are a mature, out-going person who loves spending time with students and interacting with different cultures, then you will love this job. In addition to a salary, Residential Advisor receives room and board throughout the school year in the same dorm where the students are housed.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
– Provide responsible adult supervision for the students
– Manage dorm daily operation
– Provide driving support
– Organize activities and outings
Skills/Qualifications:
– With min 5 years education experience (could be direct experience with your own children or professional experience), experience with teenage children is highly preferred.
– Min college/associate degree (international degree is recognized).
– Mature, outgoing adult with outstanding moral character
– Highly organized, professional, efficient, resourceful and works well under pressure
– Interest in working with high school age students
– Empathy and understanding for international students
– Ability to speak Chinese or experience working in China is a plus
