Sports Beijing today continues to function as a not-for-profit organization, with the focus on two tracks. We retain the essential spirit of community and volunteerism in our recreational programs where there is an emphasis on participation, fun and learning the basic skills. But also, recognizing the appetite amongst young athletes for higher-level training and competition, Sports Beijing today offers development programs, coached by qualified professionals and ‘match play’ teams across many of our programs.

Job Description
About Sports Beijing
Our History
Founded in 1999, Sports Beijing was originally known as the Beijing Community Sports and Recreation Committee (BCSRC). The aim of this new organization was to co-ordinate previously disparate groups running youth soccer, little league baseball and junior ice hockey leagues that had been established by enthusiastic expatriate volunteers. Initially modeled on the Taiwan Youth Program Association, Sports Beijing worked closely with the International Schools in Beijing to provide a range of recreational sporting activities to supplement their After School Activity programs which at the time were limited.
Over the next decade Sports Beijing grew from these humble beginnings into the leading name in the provision of sports and recreational activities with Beijing’s International community. In addition to the three ‘core’ sports, new programs were added such as Gymnastics, Tennis, Rugby, Basketball, Swimming and a wide range of Martial Arts. These programs are all thriving with participants from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities.
Sports Beijing Today
Inspired by the changes that we have all witnessed in Beijing during the last decade, Sports Beijing today continues to function as a not-for-profit organization, with the focus on two tracks.
Our aim is to continue offering quality sports for the youth of Beijing (as well as some adult programming) and to form a sporting bridge with our friends from the Chinese community.
