Job Description
The international law firm IPO Pang Xingu (www.ipopang.com) is looking to hire one paralegal. It will be a full-time job. Proficiency in Mandarin and English is a must. The applicant should be able to demonstrate prior legal experience and knowledge. The applicant needs to hold a membership to the Chinese bar. Applicants with an LLM degree will be favored. The responsibilities of the paralegal will entail legal research and presentation, participating in client interviews, drafting legal documents and general law office administration. Responsibilities:
– As the legal specialist, you will conduct legal research and assist in drafting legal memo on certain topics as instructed;
– Following PRC legal updates in various areas and prepare a legal analysis where necessary;
– Reviewing various agreements and provide comments;
- Assisting in the maintenance of the legal contracts database and coordinating with external counsels and corporate clients;
– Other tasks as per instructed (business development, marketing, etc.).
Position Requirements
Requirements:
– Legal education background is a must (LLM or experience abroad is favored);
– Spoken and drafting fluency in English and Chinese;
– Strong communication skill and appreciation for cultural differences within a multinational firm;
– Strong command of the details of relevant laws and regulations but with an ability to make this material understandable and actionable for a business audience;
– Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
-Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly;
– Desire to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
