Job: Press Liaison and Social Media Coordinator

 

Ink Studio is looking for an energetic and well-organized person to play an integral role in the development and maintenance of the gallery’s social media presence and press outreach. The role requires working with gallery Artists, Directors, and the Exhibition Manager to maximize the gallery’s social media presence via Facebook, Weibo, WeChat and other online platforms. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the gallery’s digital and physical press archive and the press, news and audio/video sections of the gallery’s website.

Detailed Description:

  • Maintain and develop the gallery’s press contacts and coordinate with both the International and Chinese media.

  • Develop and carry out press projects specific to artists and/or exhibitions.

  • Assemble and circulate press materials, including press releases, press kits and images.

  • Draft and copyedit text for press releases.

  • Develop, follow and enforce the social media strategy on behalf of the gallery.

  • Generate content for the website and social media, and oversee its publication (website, WeChat, Facebook, Weibo, etc.).

  • Maintain the gallery’s social media accounts, and further advance online presence.

  • Update the Press and News sections of the gallery’s website.

  • Organize and oversee exhibition press events.

  • Update Press on artists’ CVs.

  • Coordinate and fulfill press related reproduction requests.

  • Track press coverage, archive and format press clippings of various media (print, video, and online).

  • Coordinate the production of video material for the gallery.

  • Other tasks assigned by the gallery manager.

Requirements:

  • Honest and responsible, proactive at work, with the spirit of group work.

  • Strong sense of time, able to complete tasks by deadlines.

  • Proficient with Mac, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as InDesign and Photoshop and a video cutting program.

  • Good command of spoken and written English.

  • With service awareness, well featured, speaking standard mandarin, male or female.

  • Above Bachelor degree, working experience in a related field required.

The candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of contemporary art complimented by a background in communications and must be well informed on recent developments in contemporary art both in China and abroad. It is crucial that the candidate assumes responsibility for a multitude of activities in a fast-paced environment with a constant eye on the big picture, while prioritizing responsibilities and carrying them out independently. The candidate ought to posses an extraordinary work ethic and willingness to join an extremely motivated, hardworking, focused and visionary staff. Respectful teamwork is a must. Attention to detail and ability to follow through with projects are mandatory.

Remuneration:

  • Five insurances and housing fund.

  • Lunch and fruits on working days.

  • Salary negotiable.

Working Hours:

Five days a week (Tuesday-Friday, Saturday or Sunday), 40 working hours per week.

墨斋画廊现招聘一名媒体公关,要求积极向上,做事有条理,负责发展并维护画廊社会媒体和新闻发布。该岗位应与画廊艺术家、总监和展览经理合作,强化画廊在脸谱网、微博、微信和其它网络平台等社会媒体上的宣传力度。应聘者还负责维护画廊电子和纸质的新闻档案及画廊网站新闻、资讯和音频/视频板块。

岗位细则

  • 维护并拓展画廊媒体联系人,与国际和国内的媒体协作。

  • 发展并实施针对艺术家和/或展览的媒体项目。

  • 收集并宣传媒体材料,包括新闻稿、媒体包和图片。

  • 撰写并修订新闻稿。

  • 代表画廊发展、跟进并强化社会媒体策略。

  • 为网站和社会媒体更新内容,监管新闻发布(网站、微信、脸谱网、微博等)。

  • 维护画廊社会媒体的账号,进一步提高网络覆盖率。

  • 更新画廊网站的新闻资讯板块。

  • 组织和监管展览的新闻发布活动。

  • 更新关于艺术家简历的新闻报道。

  • 协调并实现媒体的相关请求。

  • 跟进新闻报道、档案并设计各类媒体(印刷物、视频和在线内容)的剪辑版面。

任职要求

  • 时间观念强,能够按时完成任务。

  • 能够熟练掌握苹果系统、MS WordExcelPowerPointInDesignPhotoshop和一种视频剪辑程序。

  • 良好的英文口语和写作能力。

  • 良好的服务意识,形象端正,普通话标准,性别不限。

  • 本科以上学历,需有相关领域工作经验。
