Job Description

Program Account Manager

The Hutong Education Team has grown significantly in 2017 and is looking to expand upon this growth for 2018 and beyond. This position will be focused on account management and providing exceptional client relations. We are looking for someone with a passion for education and who is eager to present our exceptional experiential education programs with our clients in the most professional manner possible. In order to execute account management and stay at the top of our game, we need individuals who treat customer relations management with the utmost care and thoroughness whilst using language that promotes our brand promise of partnership, professionalism, and consistency.

 

Full-Time Program Account Manager communicates with clients and coordinates with office team in order to provide the most efficient and professional customer relations management.

 

Position Responsibilities

 

  • Manage key Beijing client accounts. This includes managing communications with school leadership, admin and teaching staff on all matters concerning program preparation, execution and follow up.
  • Coordinate the submission of all relevant follow-up documents, including budget reports, program notes, inventory use, photo compilations, etc.
  • Meet with clients in order to help foster a spirit of partnership for all of our program creation.
  • Collaborate with cross-regional team members (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) on customer relationship management projects.
  • Support the creation and maintenance ofcutting edge CRM tools and databases.
  • Coordinate payment schedules with our Finance Department and coordinate bookings with our Operations Teams.
  • Negotiate with clients while following The Hutong’s protocols and understanding and meeting our clients’ needs.
  • Set and achieve new key client targets, and lead outreach efforts in Beijing and Northern China
  • Collaborate on idea generation and program development in concert with your colleagues, that are customized to each client school’s specifications.
  • Coordinate content used in each program’s written materials.
  • Manage and support the positive dynamics of a multinational team on the road with student groups.

Position Requirements
  • At least 2 years of working experience and is eligible for working visa

  • Detail-oriented and strong organization skills with the ability to manage several accounts simultaneously.

  •  Have professional work experience relevant to the field of Educational Travel and a strong understanding of our industry.

  • Have lived in China for at least 2-3 years and experience traveling around the country.

  • Punctuality with the ability to set and stick to deadlines and get back to clients in a timely manner.

  • Can work efficiently with excel spreadsheets and with software design applications like InDesign and Photoshop.

  • Excellent written communications; ability to write and respond to client requests in a proficient and professional manner.

  • Strong verbal communication skills, and confidently able to meet with clients, build relationships, and communicate customer needs to our team.

  • Ability to assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.

  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.

  • Passion for providing top-notch customer service.

  • Comfortable with managing and delegating tasks to an international team.

  • Confidence in your ability to deliver presentations to prospective Partner Schools and large audiences across China.

  • Able and willing to travel, and able to work with clients to create customized education programs.

  • Have an interest in Chinese language and culture. Proficiency in spoken Mandarin is preferred but not essential.

  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
