Job Description
This entails:
- Being part of shaping and forming partnerships with various Government of China departments and agencies
- Participating in effective knowledge management to strengthen programmes that help children in China
- Analysing socio-political and economic trends in China and their implications for UNICEF’s programmes
- Supporting the monitoring of programme funds and ensuring their optimal use for the benefit of children in China
- Providingsupport and assistance to improve the quality of programmes
- Building and reinforcing commitment and capacities of national and local partners
To qualify, you will have…
- A university degree (preferably at Master’s level) in Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Administration or other relevant field
- At least two years of professional working experience in international development or programme/project development at the national or international level
- Experience working with the UN or other international development organizations is an asset
- Knowledge of China’s social and economic policy context, Chinese government and non-government functions and policy development mechanisms
- Experience of working in partnership with the Government of China
- Experience of research management an advantage
- Ability to coordinate and organize activities with stakeholders to good quality
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
