Background
NCAIDS is a leading public health agency in China. The agency’s primary responsibility is to lead the public health response to HIV and hepatitis C through case identification, prevention, and treatment in three broad areas of public health implementation, scientific research and training. NCAIDS is involved in NIH-supported research projects, such as clinical trials to link HIV testing to treatment and to improve quality of services at methadone clinics. Additionally, NCAIDS takes a leadership role in Chinese government-supported Mega Projects including a clinical trial in 16 cities to promote test and treat to reduce HIV incidence and a clinical trial to promote condom use, spousal testing and HIV treatment for discordant couples. At the same time, we are also producing books with a broad coverage of policy, epidemiology, interventions, treatment, challenges and laboratory testing in China.

Position 2: Project Manager
Position type: Full-time contract, 40 hours/week, 1 year commitment
Location: Beijing, China
Reports to: Director of NCAIDS
Ideal Start Date: ASAP

Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare research protocol for project implementation
• Monitor clinical trial progress, identifying issues and solving problems in the field
• Prepare documentation of implemented activities
• Coordination, facilitation, and note-taking during teleconferences, prepare memos
• Coordinate research team for project implementation
• Ensure the quality of implementation and data collected

Other:
• Prepare journal articles

Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in epidemiology or public health or social sciences
• Native English speaking with moderate Mandarin skills
• Strong academic writing
• Strong communication, facilitation and training skills
• Ability to work in challenging, high-pressure environment

Preferred:
• Previous participation in project implementation

Salary: 1300 to 2500 USD per month (depending on experience) + Productivity Bonuses
