Job title :  Project Officer(Based in Gaoqiao, Kaixian county, Chongqing province)
Report to: Country Manager
 
Job Description: 
A.Assist with implementing the project activities at the school and community level according to the annual and monthly project plans.
B.Assist the master trainers to train primary school teachers on road safety; 
C.Visit the project schools regularly to assess curriculum implementation, provide guidance, and collect feedback from schools on project progress and difficulties; 
D.Assist the schools to implement any road safety-related activities when required;
E.Promote road safety knowledge and behavior in communities by organizing parent trainings/information sessions on a regular basis;
F.Assist to organize any field events or events for AIP Foundation China Office;
G.Collect information for field event planning, project reports, case studies, project stories and other documents.
H.Assist with editing materials such newsletters, leaflets, brochures, DVDs, working papers, newsletters, presentations, websites, etc.
I.Perform other job-related duties as requested.
 
Qualifications
1.Bachelor’s degree in English, Development Management, Public Administration, Development Studies or a related field is required;
2.Two years work experience with an NGO that operates community-based projects;
3.Ability and willingness to work in the field independently;
4.Ability and willingness to work closely with communities and travel extensively;
5.Strong interest in this position and in the NGO sector;
6.Motivated to work responsibly with little supervision;
7.Detailed-oriented and organized; 
8.Ability to cooperate effectively and harmoniously with project partners;
9.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively, tactfully, and diplomatically with a culturally diverse group of people;
10.Demonstrate a high degree of honesty and integrity;
11.Basic English ability to deal with daily documents and receive foreign visitors;
12.Computer proficient in Word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, electronic mail and internet (Microsoft preferred).

Duration of the position
The initial contract will be effective from September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2015. A contract extension may be possible depending on performance, need, and funding. 
 
Work Schedule
The work schedule for our current field staff is 22 days in the field, eight days off, with some degree of flexibility.
