Job Description
The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, India and the United States, is seeking an intern to work part or full-time on Carnegie China Insight, Carnegie’s online Chinese journal about China and the world.
Duties include monitoring policy and academic publications on China and Chinese foreign policy; preparing short summaries about the regional and local developments; coordinating with our translation company to ensure smooth and accurate translations of our work; editing, proofing and fact-checking articles as needed; posting articles online; and supporting editorial staff as needed. Additionally, the intern will also assist with other tasks in the Asia Program, including attending internal and external events, and supporting research staff with tasks as needed. Proficiency in Chinese is required.
Internship will start end of August and is located in Dupont Circle in Washington, DC. Work schedule is flexible. Although commitment of one single semester is acceptable, commitment of an entire academic year is preferable (with flexible summer hours and work locations).
