Job Description

Job title – Senior Business Development Associate
Overview – Working within an agile sales team you will be charged with helping VICE secure new business opportunities, with a focus on media sales, and develop existing relationships. Your sales duties will include content production deals, event sponsorships, creative services and media partnerships. Must have a clear understanding of China’s media landscape and media sales experience.
Duties – Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Obtain new business and spread the diversity of YSYS (VICE China) partners to new and different industries 
2. Develop new business opportunities and relationships
3. Maintain relationships with existing clients and expand these opportunities to obtain greater business opportunities
4. Maintain up-to-date records of all individually led sales initiatives and stay across opportunities company wide 
5. Compile weekly reports to allow monitoring of sales initiatives. All prospects, leads and opportunities to be discussed with BD manager and senior management
6. Work closely with sales and creative teams to create client facing presentations
7. Lead and guide sales associates through projects from brief to pitch and close
8. Present ideas and creative to clients
9. Follow and manage projects from start to finish, work with accounts team to ensure smooth handovers while maintaining project oversight.
Position Requirements
Skills and Competencies:
1. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. (Chinese Native, English fluent)
2. Familiar with Mac and Microsoft suite of software to give effective presentations and create sound budgets (Keynote, Word, Excel) 
3. Resourceful in solving problems and shows strong initiative 
4. CRM or sales management software experience 
5. Has strong existing clients/ contacts and industry relationships

Requirements:
1. Previous experience putting together sales pitches and presenting them to decision makers within client organisations. (3-5 Years of Experience)
2. Experienced in expanding and developing relationships with existing clients
3. Previous experience in selling media packages that include content production and hard media elements
4. Good understanding of local youth culture and insight on content and platform trends 
5. Possess a creative and inquisitive mind-set with a willingness to participate and contribute creative/ partnership ideas to a project 
6. Chinese Nationals

Additional Requirements
1 Years of Experience – 3+, China based experience in sales and or media company
2 Language – Chinese Mother tongue, English conversationally fluent 
3 Location – SH or BJ
4 Interest – Must know of YSYS (VICE China) & have a firm understanding of what we do
5 KPIs – Experience with working under KPIs and sales targets
