The Columbia Global Centers | East Asia (CGC|EA) office is now recruiting a Senior Program Manager.
1. Qualifications for applicants
- Master’s degree, preferably from a US university
- Experiences working overseas preferred, especially at Columbia University
- Familiarity with U.S and China higher education system
- Previous work as research manager or program manager supervising other program and operations staff
- Ability to write well in English
- Strong sense of maturity and integrity
- Fluent in both Chinese and English
2. Responsibilities
- Assist the Director and various Columbia University Units to develop partnerships, programs and projects in East Asia with local universities, think tanks, government organizations, and non-governmental organizations.
- Develop the Center’s programs and projects under the leadership of the Director
- Initiate, coordinate, and supervise Center’s events and conferences
- Be responsible for center’s IT system maintenance and development
- Assist the Director with various programmatic tasks including management of projects and programs with other global centers
- Liaise with alumni office in New York and in the Greater China region on alumni outreach and engagement
- Assist the Director to establish and manage relationships with influential alumni, friends of Columbia University, parents, and Advisory Board members
- Work as the admissions contact with appropriate offices on campus
- Assist in government relations and outreach
