Reports to: Sr. Manager, Member Operations & Sponsorship
Job purpose
The Sponsorship Manager is responsible for all chamber’s media sponsorships, including print and online advertising, supporting sponsorships for related events, and Corporate Partner Program. The Sponsorship manager will grow sales by identifying potential new accounts, cold calling prospective customers, conducting face to face meetings, negotiating and closing contracts. This role is also responsible for building and maintaining its sponsor relationships.
Working location and time
Beijing, 9:00-17:30, Monday- Friday
Duties and responsibilities
Utilize telephone solicitation, electronic and written correspondence and face-to-face meeting as tools in order to reach and exceed the budgeted sponsorship target for all chamber’s media sponsorships
Research and develop a list of potential sponsors for all media sponsorships
To attain monthly and annual sponsorship revenue targets working individually and within the member operations team to meet and exceed all assigned sponsorship targets
Ability to work independently, pick up on new initiatives and develop sales pitches for the assigned markets
Working closely with the events team to ensure the projects are fulfilled successfully
Deliver a high level of customer service to sponsors
Provide timely, accurate and informative reports to senior management
Qualifications
3+ years’ years of successful advertising and/ or sponsorship sales experience
Bachelor’s degree
Results driven and customer focused
Team player and work well in a dynamic, innovative and fast pace environment
Working experience in an international office setting
Excellent command of both Chinese and English, particularly with verbal communication
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated competence in various computer programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
