Test Prep Instructor
Due West Education seeks talented educators to join our Beijing team in building a high-quality international education program. Our test prep program seeks to differentiate itself among other services. We seek to create a dynamic educational experience, led by experienced instructors in teaching a culturally-conscious program that is aware of student’s circumstances, language ability and learning style. In developing a more demanding program, we seek qualified instructors to join our team and help us revolutionize the potential of test prep services to educate students beyond the exam.
Position Description:
The Instructor will work with the Due West Test Prep team in designing, teaching, and supervising recently piloted, rigorous test prep programs for Chinese local and international middle and high school students planning to attend Western high schools and universities. Our teachers will be asked to concentrate (at this time) in one of two content areas: Math and Science (MS), and English, Reading and Writing (ERW). Test prep teachers will be asked to lead courses across a variety of tests, but will find cohesion across courses in terms of instructional style. Teachers in the MS division primarily will be asked to lead courses geared at math and quantitative subjects for major standardized tests. However, willingness and an ability to teach science subjects or the science component of the ACT are desired. Overall, we seek creative and passionate teachers interested in expanding our approach and offerings by researching other potential tests, ways to teach the material, or how to analyze student performance.

- Interest in learning and contributing to curriculum and program development
- Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to work cooperatively within the Test Prep team, the larger company and with Chinese students, parents and educators
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong work ethic and team spirit
Qualifications Desired:
- Candidates with experience teaching in China and/or test prep experience will be given preference
