Job Description
• Liaise and foster a strong relationship with China headquarter teams based in Hangzhou to understand Taobao Overseas business strategy and plans, secure and coordinate resources to grow Tmall and Taobao business in the USA.
• Oversee Taobao platform USA regional marketing, promotion, advertising and partnership initiatives.
• Responsible for marketing budget. Complies with company budget approval request processes and execution.
• Be in charge of marketing KPI development, ROI tracking and performance optimization.
• Analyze data and insights to develop strategies and tactics to reach and recruit Chinese consumers resided in the USA.
• Retain and grow consumer base, improve consumer value through creative marketing and promotion initiatives.
• Deploy successful online and offline marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution.
• Produce relevant and engaging content for advertising and social media channels.
• Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, key merchants, agencies and vendors.
• Develop and be in charge of Taobao USA affiliate program in partnership with headquarter teams.
• Collaborate with category operation team to align on business strategies, priorities and promotional activities.
• Bachelor’s degree and above.
• Excellent English copy writing capability. Fluent in speaking and writing Mandarin. Living experience in both USA and mainland China is preferred.
• Proven 3+ years’ experience as marketing manager or similar role for a B2C retailer of strong online presence. Cross-border ecommerce platform preferred. Priority categories include but not limited to Fashion and Accessary, Food, Home, Mother and baby, 3C, etc.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online/offline marketing and measurement.
• Knowledge about online and offline advertising.
• Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy.
• Strong data analytics skills. Excellent communication and people skills. Creative, responsible, detail oriented and result driven. Good team player.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Flexible to travels between USA and China for minimum 4 business trips per year.
