Job Description

Project: VISION is a small nonprofit organization serving youth ages 12-18 in the Chinatown & Bridgeport communities. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic Youth Program Coordinators to work under the Program Manager to perform the following responsibilities:
-Lead/implement various youth programs including college and career readiness, ELL, leadership, service learning activities
-Plan and lead parent workshops
-Assist with youth program development and planning
-Assist with implementation of program improvements
-Assist with program evaluation and record maintenance
-Carry out student recruitment activities by conducting outreach in the community and local schools
-Manage day to day operation of homework tutoring program and provide homework tutoring for 6-12th graders
-Assist with training and supervision of volunteer and staff tutors

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree required
-Interest in nonprofit career and youth development
-Must be fluent in spoken Chinese Cantonese and/or Mandarin
-Must have experience working with middle school and high school youth
-Self-motivated with initiative and works well with a team
-Strong personal academic record
-Professional, organized, has excellent attention to detail, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
