Program Assistant (Part-time) 
Bryant University – Smithfield, RI

This part-time position is accountable for assisting the Associate Director and Director of the U.S.-China Institute in coordinating China-related academic programs on campus and exchange programs with partner universities in China. This position reports to the Associate Director of Academic Programs and works closely with other staff members at the U.S.-China Institute and International Affairs Division. The estimated hours are 15-18 hours per week with the possibility of extended hours. Evening and weekend hours may be required based on program needs. This part-time position is a term position with the possibility of being extended into a full-time position based on program needs. This is an entry-level position with a salary commensurate with training and experience. 

Principle Accountabilities 
1. sist the Associate Director of Academic Programs at the U.S.-China Institute on operations of academic related programs; 
2. Assist with communication with partner universities in China on various exchange programs; 
3. Assist with Bryant’s programs in Zhuhai, China; 
4. Assist with implementing the China Seminar Series; 
5. Collaborate with other staff members at the U.S.-China Institute on related programs; 
6. Perform related responsibilities as assigned. 

Qualifications 
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business or related field is required; 
• Must be fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin); 
• Must be fluent in both American culture and Chinese culture; 
• Study experience in China is preferred; 
• Demonstrated writing skills in English is crucial; 
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills is required; 
• Must be a quick learner and detail oriented; 
• Excellent organizational, presentational and project management skills; 
• Excellent computer and technology skills; 
• Eligibility to be employed in the U.S. is required.
