Policy Analyst
Policy Analyst monitors regulatory and legislative changes across a wide variety of industries and sectors, while supporting/driving AmCham China’s policy and advocacy efforts through the publication of policy reports – including the annual White Paper, government submissions and outreach, and programs and events with the support of AmCham China’s Policy Committee.

Beijing, 9:00-17:30, Monday- Friday
Duties and responsibilities
· Lead the drafting, editing, and production process for the AmCham China White Paper
· Principal staff support to the AmCham China Policy Committee
· Drive/support specific policy-focused analysis, perspectives and reports
· Track, research, and analyze Chinese regulatory and legislative changes
· Provide briefings and attend events on behalf of AmCham China
· Provide timely policy support to members, government officials and AmCham staff
Qualifications
· University degree and at least 2 years post college relevant full-time employment. Master’s degree in a relevant major/discipline highly preferred.
· Must be at least 25 years of age prior to position start date if not a Chinese citizen
· Exceptional writing and editorial skills, demonstrated in a fast-paced work environment
· Appreciation for quality and detail gained in a rigorous academic and work environment
· Critical thinker with strong analytic skills; able to derive conclusions from incomplete information
· General knowledge of economics and business issues and trends in China
· Native English speaker or equivalent proficiency with exceptional written command of the language
· Ability to conduct research in Chinese desired
· Ability to engage with senior corporate executives and US and Chinese government officials
· Ability to function in a diverse, multi-cultural organization with a high-performance culture
· Strong competence in MS Office and other programs, especially Word and PowerPoint
· Willingness to commit to working in Beijing for a minimum of two years
